Safety limits

Caps, warmup, jitter, hours, and auto-pause.

These defaults are the product. PATCH /v1/outreach/accounts/{id}/limits accepts a lower integer with no extra flag. Zero is allowed and means stop.

Raising a number above the default is allowed on that account only when the same request sets risk_acknowledged to true. Without the flag the response is HTTP 400. With the flag, the server writes outreach.limits.raise to the audit log (including risk_acknowledged: true) and the response includes risk_warning. The warning states that warmup, daily jitter, spacing, working hours, and auto-pause stay on.

Workspace settings (PATCH /v1/outreach/settings) may only lower caps. They cannot raise them, even with the acknowledgement flag. When both the workspace and the account set a cap, the lower one applies.

An acknowledged raise still stops at a hard ceiling: 30 invites a day, 150 a week, 110 a week without a note, 40 new outreaches a day, and 150 profile views a day.

Warmup and jitter

Warmup is 14 days from 0.4×, starting at the first confirmed enrollment or send, not when the account connects or a sequence is saved. Before that, the factor is 1.

Each account and UTC day gets a deterministic downward jitter of up to 15%. The same account and day always get the same factor. It is never above 1, and it is not configurable. The new-outreach cap uses warmup and does not use that jitter.

GET /v1/outreach/accounts/{id}/limits returns today's effective numbers and next_available_at.

When a send is allowed

Actions on one account are 45–180 seconds apart. Peak hours 10:00–16:00 use ×1. Other hours use ×1.5. Lunch 12:00–13:00 uses ×3.

Working hours default to Monday–Friday 08:00–19:00 in Europe/Brussels. A slot that falls outside is moved, then shifted by 0–15 minutes. You can narrow the window. You cannot empty it. Settings must use an IANA time zone, whole hours between 08:00 and 19:00 with at least two hours between start and end, and days 1 (Monday) to 5 (Friday). Anything else is rejected with HTTP 400.

Spacing is also checked when a step runs, not only when it is scheduled. After downtime, a backlog goes out one action at a time per account, never in a burst.

A send that would break a cap is not refused silently: an enrollment preview shows next_available_at, and a direct call returns 409 outreach_cap_reached with next_available_at. Reaching a cap emits outreach.cap_reached.

A daily-limit warning from LinkedIn pauses the account until UTC midnight. A weekly invite cap pauses until next Monday 00:00 UTC. Those pauses cannot be resumed early. An account disconnect pauses until you review it.

What it costs

Reading limits is free. Lowering a cap is free. Acknowledging a raise is free. The monthly account price stays €49.
